Coming soon…

Cam & Kelly {Vancouver Wedding Photographer}

2016 wedding season started off like no other. Two winter weddings on the books, and well… no winter!. I was told that it had rained for weeks in Vancouver, so I was prepared for a rainy wedding day. But when I woke up, and the clouds had cleared, and the sun was peering out from behind the mountains, I knew that it was going to be the perfect day.

I have known Kelly since I was in Grade 10. Not getting into how old I am, it has been a really long time. Kelly and I also went to University together where we received our BA in psychology. After university, Kelly and I were lucky enough to work together for 3 years before she left to pursue her career working with youth in Vancouver. Although we did not see each other much after that, we were still able to kept in touch.

When Kelly asked me to share her day with her, I was so excited. There is something to be said, standing along side someone you have known for years, as they marry their best friend. This girl is truly one special gal, and this was evident on the day of her wedding.

The day was relaxed and full of laughter. Spending the morning with her mom and sister, Kelly was surrounded by the people who love her the most. Kelly was glowing as she left for her intimate candlelit ceremony at the church both her and Cam attend. The setting for the ceremony was something out of a movie. Glowing candle light, lighting the way to her future husband.

Thank you Kelly & Cam for allowing me to share in your special day! I wish you so much happiness in your lives together. You two will do amazing things together!

Chase and Cheryl engagement {Calgary engagement photographer}

It has been a while since I blogged last, so I thought that I would start with my most recent engagement session and work my way backwards.

I was so grateful  when an acquaintance of mine referred this adorable couple to me. They had requested a wintery wonderland for their engagement session, and who would have thought that snow would be hard to find living in Alberta. At the end of November we decided to reschedule our session and wait a couple more week for snow. A couple of weeks passed and well… there was still no snow so we had to resort to plan B.. a 4 hour drive

We met halfway, in Calgary, and headed out on HWY 1 towards Banff. We had a destination in mind, but as we got closer we were beginning to lose hope of finding snow until we turned the corner and there it was… on the side of the road, just as the sun was setting, a gorgeous mountainous backdrop and snow!!!

I am so excited about how these images turned out.. it was worth the power day it took to find snow… I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

I hope you enjoy these images of this gorgeous couple as much as I do!!

Keana & David’s Jasper wedding {Jasper Wedding Photographer}

This weekend I took the most incredible trip through the Columbia Icefields Parkway to shoot Keana & David’s wedding in Jasper. I was so blown away by the majestic beauty of the mountains and turquoise lakes, that every km we drove, I became more and more excited!

The day of the wedding could not have been a more perfect; the sun was shining, the air was warm and filled with anticipation. Keana glowed as she got ready to meet her future husband at the end of the aisle. She was giddy with excitement every time she said “oh my husband”. As Keana walked toward David, it was obvious that he loved her with all of his heart. You could feel the love from family and friends as they gathered to share this moment.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of your amazingly gorgeous day. Thank you for asking me to be a part of it!!

I hope that you enjoy these images as much as I do~

Erin & Daltons Rustic Farm Wedding {Lethbridge Wedding Photographer}

There is something about love that radiates out of a person like a glowing light. Erin was truly glowing with excitement, as she got ready to marry the man of her dreams. They had put so much love into the preparation for this day, and it was finally here to enjoy. She possessed confidence and poise as she walked down the aisle towards Dalton. As his eyes welled up with tears, it was clear that this was the moment these two have been waiting for.

Erin’s father said, that when Erin told him there was someone she would like for him to meet, he knew that it was the man she would {one day} marry. He recognized right away that there was something special between these two, and truly there is.

Nothing was going to get in the way of them fully enjoying their wedding day. With the alter tied to the fence and the tents being held down by vehicles, the wind was trying to take over. These hurricane like winds truly made for a more interesting day, but Erin and Dalton didn’t care. They were so focused on each other that a little wind was not going to ruin their day. Thus, this beautiful Lethbridge farm wedding turned out exactly as it was meant to be!!

I could not have asked for a more special couple to share my day with. It is people like these two who truly make my job so amazing. Thank you so much for asking me to capture your day.. I hope you love these images as much as I do.
